Abstract: Although professional Burnout is widely acknowledged, this paper proposes the concept that, in dentistry, there is a seldom identified phenomenon of Patient Burnout in some patients undergoing complex treatment, and that this may, on occasion, contribute to eventual Dentist Burnout. Warning signs and symptoms of potential Burnout patients are discussed and strategies proposed to prevent or minimize Patient Burnout.en_US
